The Harry’s Ad was developed out of a singular insight that balding men have two choices. They can either choose to hold onto the last few strands of hair left on their head or they can Abandon The Wispies and commit to a lifetime of being bald.

When I was approached to be a part of the strategy and management team for this Harry’s ad I was ecstatic. Having alopecia and being bald for the last 8 years has been a growing process and not many people talk about body positivity among males. Losing hair can be an emasculating experience which is why our insight for this ad was to turn hair loss into a choice.
Abandon the wispies is for the people who have already begun to lose their hair. The people who are still holding onto the last few strands they have left. By making hair loss a choice we can help the half of men in the world who go bald by 50 feel like they are joining an elite club of confident and successful winners.

At the time that we created this Ad we did not have access to all the resources that the BYU Adlab had to offer. Unfortunately, we did not have access to the coloring and audio that normally comes with our quality of work.
